First Health Hospice
Bereavement Services
First Health Hospice understands the pain a loved one may
feel after a loss. For that reason, Hospice offers a full range of bereavement
services. These services include individual support through
telephone, home or office visits; timely letters; and support through
survivors' groups.
Correspondence Program
Adult Support Group

Caring Support Group - monthly grief support
group. Participants ring their lunch. Topics vary.

New Beginnings - an educational, social and
therapeutic group that meets for seven sessions. Offered in the
spring and fall of each year.

Grief Support Series - evening grief support
group. Offered on an as needed basis.

Devoured by the Beast - an educational group for men
dealing with loss and grief. Offered on an as needed basis.

Caregiving Connections - we invite anyone caring for a
loved one who is ill or incapacitated to attend our monthly group that
provides support, practical information and community resource
referrals.
Children's / Teen Services

When Someone Very Special Dies - a program for
children and teens and their parents. Offered on an as-needed
basis.

Camp Lost & Found - Designed for children and
teens, ages 5-17, who have lost someone special to death.
Provides support and grief education in a relaxed, recreational
environment. Offered each summer.
Individual / Counseling / Support
- Provided by master's level counselors / social workers with
expertise in grief and loss issues. Bereavement volunteers are
also available for additional family support.
