Peggy Heckerman
December 09, 1944 - February 18, 2010Mrs. Peggy Anne Bowers Heckerman, age 65, of Lillington died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. She was born in Cherokee County, NC the daughter of the late Edd R. and Ruth Solesbee Bowers. Mrs. Heckerman was employed with the Lamb County, TX Sheriff’s Department for several years.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at O’Quinn-Peebles Chapel, Lillington with Rev. Jim Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Heckerman of the home, two sons, Raymond Roberts and wife Christine of Lubbock, TX and Charles Roberts and wife Darlene of Tucson, AZ, daughter, Cynthia Heckerman of Perryton, TX, 2 grandchildren, Brandon Roberts and Nikolas Roberts, Brothers, Jerry Bowers and wife Sandra of Asheville, NC and Tony Bowers and wife Susan of Siler City, NC, sister, June McDonald of Lillington, father and mother-in-law, LTC Donald R. Heckerman (Ret.) US Army and Vida L. Heckerman of Whitney, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
