Leon Preston (Pete) Dollar
May 02, 1942 - July 26, 2010Mr. Leon Preston “Pete” Dollar, 68 of Bunnlevel, died Monday, July 26 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, NC. He was born in Pavo, Georgia, the son of the late Louis Preston and Evelyn Eunice Thompson Dollar.
Mr. Dollar was a US Army veteran. He was owner of Dollar Electric and Dollar Lumber Company. Mr. Dollar retired as a prison guard with the NC Prison System in Lillington.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, July 31 at 2 p.m. at O’Quinn-Peebles Chapel in Lillington, with Pastor Tim Evans presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Bullock Dollar of the home; daughters, Tiffney Ann Dollar of Anderson Creek, Jennifer Lynn Dollar Ezzell of Fort Polk, LA, Stephanie Faircloth Dollar Poythress of Bunnlevel; a son, James Preston Dollar of St. Joseph, MO; ten grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Pittman of Monroe, NC.
