Driving Directions to the Church

From O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home:  
Take Highway 27 East towards Cameron.  Go about 8 miles.  At Womack's Store, turn right onto Spring Hill Church Road and the church is ahead on the right.

From Sanford:
Approximately 11 miles from Sanford, turn right just past Ken's Lamp Shop and take an immediate left onto Old 421.  Go to Mamers, and take a right onto Spring Hill Church Road.  The church is ahead on the left.


Cemetery Regulations


The minister must be contacted before a funeral or burial can be scheduled or before a grave marker can be placed at a grave.  He will then make arrangements to have a funeral scheduled and the burial space determined.  If the minister is out of town, a contact person will make such arrangements.

Any member of Spring Hill Church shall be provided burial space at no cost in the Spring Hill or Holder Cemetery.

Persons responsible for a deceased who is a former member or who is sponsored by a church member will be charged a burial fee of $500.00 plus a marker fee of $200.00 for a total of $700.00.  The marker fee will be subject to refund.  (This fee is subject to increase upon the approval of Cemetery Committee.)

Any person, member or non-member, being buried in the Spring Hill or Holder Cemetery will be charged a fee of $200.00 for a grave marker.  This fee will be refunded to the paying party within one year if a marker is in place.  If a marker is not in place, the $200.00 will be used for a marker.

The funeral director will be responsible for contacting the minister or membership chairperson to determine if there is a burial charge.

The funeral director will be responsible for collecting and remitting to the minister or church treasurer any fees applicable,  $200.00 for members and $700.00 for non-members.

No burial space will be sold in advance of a death.

All graves must have a vault or grave liner.

The funeral director is responsible to see that care is taken in the removal and replacing of sod.  Graves are to be left flat and all excess dirt removed from the cemetery property.

Any breach of a funeral director's responsibility which results in the need fro correction will be at the expense of the funeral director.

All wreaths, potted plants, and floral arrangements are to be removed from the grave site within two weeks after the funeral by the family or the cemetery committee will assume the responsibility for the removal.  Flowers and arrangements are placed on graves for beautification.  When they no longer fulfill the purpose, they shall be removed by family members.  Any flowers not enhancing the grave site will be removed by maintenance personnel.

No person shall enclose any grave, graves, or lots, or plant any trees, flowers, or shrubs any where in the cemetery.

All graves must be identified with grave markers.

All graved markers must be substantially set upon proper foundations so that they will not be disturbed by any cave-ins.

No person, firm, or corporation is allowed to place a marker at a grave without permission from the cemetery committee.

The monument company shall be responsible for erecting the marker in proper alignment with the particular row in which it is located.  Correction necessary because of failure to do so will be at the expense of the monument company.

No one is allowed to place a marker at a grave without continuous supervision while the marker is being placed by a member of the cemetery committee.

All foot stones must be left flush with the ground.

Excess dirt and other materials used while setting stones will be removed from the cemetery by the monument company.

No marker shall exceed the width of the grave plot.

Wreaths and potted plants should be secured on top of the monument if the monument does not have a vase.
