Cecil and Kay Peebles, the daughter and son-in-law of Selwyn, currently manage the funeral home. They both received their undergraduate degrees from East Carolina University and their Mortuary degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College. Their goal is to maintain the same level of personal care and service that the community has come to expect. They continually strive to raise the standard by providing personalized and meaningful services which aid each family in the grieving process.

Paul Phillips joined our firm in November 2006. He has over 14 years experience in funeral service. He received his BS in Business Administration from Appalachian State University in 1992 and an Associate Degree in Funeral Service from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 1997. He is active in the Lillington Presbyterian Church, Lillington Kiwanis Club, Leadership Harnett and Harnett County Community Foundation. He and his wife Jennifer live in Lillington and have two children.

Steve Plummer joined the O'Quinn-Peebles staff in May of 2008. Steve has been a member of the Lillington community for over 35 years and is active with the Lillington Kiwanis Club and a member of Lillington Presbyterian Church. He retired from BB&T in 2007, where he served as the City Executive. A native of Raeford, he is married to the former Anne Riddle of Gastonia and they have two children and one grandchild.

Rick West has been employed by O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home since 1982. He is a graduate of Anderson Creek High School. His knowledge of the community and his dedication to funeral service is appreciated by all who work with him.

Jamie P. Arnold, the daughter of Cecil and Kay Peebles, manages the firm′s in-house accounting operations. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from NC State University in 2004. In 2007 Jamie and her husband David were married. They currently live in Holly Springs and have one daughter.

Annie Arnold, born in June 2009, is at work three days a week with Jamie. She helps with the everyday tasks at the funeral home such as cheering people up, making them smile, and helping the staff see the simple things in life.

Our Founders
Mr. Redden B. O'Quinn started the funeral home in 1932, along with partner Melvin McLean, as McLean-O'Quinn Funeral Home. They operated the funeral home out of the back of their men's clothing store. Mr. McLean died in 1946, leaving R.B. to carry on the business. Mr. O'Quinn died in 1977 after a long life of service to his community.

Mr. Selwyn O'Quinn
Mr. Selwyn O'Quinn, the son of Mr. R.B. O'Quinn, entered his father's business in 1946 after serving his country in World War II. He graduated from Gupton-Jones Mortuary School in Nashville, Tennessee. He was able to build his father's business through excellent service and love for the public. He also operated the ambulance service for southwestern Harnett County until 1981. He is now retired.
