Go past the funeral home on Hwy 27 approximately 6 blocks. At the Big 'A" Auto, bear right onto West Old Road. At the stop sign, keep straight. Summerville will be approximately 2 miles on the left, just past Pinecrest Rest Home.

Cemetery Regulations

Plots in the new section shall be laid out by number and by marker.

Plots shall be $1200.00 for six or $600.00 for two which are prepayments of the maintenance fee, these fees apply for members of the Lillington Presbyterian Church and the Summerville Presbyterian Church.

Maintenance fees for members of Lillington Presbyterian Church and Summerville Presbyterian Church and immediate family members for which no previous arrangements have been made shall be $500.00.

All corner markers and footmarkers shall be flush with the top of the ground.

Plots shall be approved by the cemetery committee.

A maximum of six plots per family as of July 4, 2002.

No planting of shrubbery, trees or flowers shall be allowed in the cemetery.

There may be a waiver of the maintenance fee (subject to the discretion of the Session), for those who request that bequeaths be made either to the cemetery fune or to the Summerville Presbyterian Church.

Plots for those who are not members of the Summerville or Lillington Presbyterian Churches shall be approved by sessional authority or the Cemetery Committee and shall have a prepaid maintenance fee of $600.00 per grave.

Only two potted plants per grave shall be allowed (unless attached to the tombstone).

No statutes or markers above 4 feet shall be allowed. Permanent Moratorium to ban mausoleums in the cemetery action of Session November 29, 2010). 

All grave stones or corner markers shall be placed only under supervision of the cemetery committee or the responsible funeral home which shall have permission from the cemetery committee.

On the matter of interment ashes, the Session approved a limit of 3 per plot, after the first two there would be an additional $100.00 fee. (Approved June 24, 2010)

The payment of a maintenance fee reserves a plot.  Ownership is retained by the Summerville Presbyterian hurch, Inc.

NOTE: All funds either donated or those obtained by maintenance fees are invested in funds for the care of the cemetery. No funds are used by the Summerville Presbyterian Church other than for maintenance of the grounds. These rules are subject to review and change by the Session of the Summerville Presbyterian Church.
